In Glance you for having me, Josh returns to the type of auto-biographical narrative storytelling he first explored on stage in Manfül. He plays a Borsch-belt lounge-entertainer called Yehoshua Glanc. He’s a schmaltzy cabaret star, full of cheesy songs and schtick about being Jewish. The entertainer always tries to keep things glitzy, but as the show unfolds, darker themes about his mother and struggle to separate emerge. The show sold out at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and was a huge hit at the Edinburgh Fringe, where it was listed by The Scotsman as one of the top shows to see that year.
